With stronger easterly winds than were forecasted we began Sunday’s trip by exploring along the coastline. Multiple grey seals were recorded hauled out on a beach or rocks, including the seal pup which is in good condition. Another great northern diver was spotted, in its stunning summer plumage, and we were also pleasantly surprised to find a dozen or so barrel jellyfish around the same bay. A peregrine falcon chick was being fed by its parent on a grassy cliff likely following a recent capture and some hunting gannets were spotted offshore which led us to our first group of harbour porpoises!

8 Harbour Porpoises, 30 Atlantic Grey Seals, most hauled out, including seal pup, Giant Bluefin Tuna, breaching, 1 Great Northern Diver, summer plumage, 3 Peregrine Falcons, 2 Buzzards, Gannets, Mediterranean Gulls, Guillemots, Razorbills, 4 Ravens, Oystercatchers, Egrets, Herons, 1 Whimbrel, Barrel Jellyfish
