Our first snorkelling trip of the year!
The fog came in thick and low yesterday which reduced our visibility to around 50m for much of the day and made spotting somewhat tricky, but we still managed to record high numbers of auks, shearwaters, sandwich terns and gannets as well as oystercatchers, a heron and fulmars. However the highlight was our time spent IN the water. We were joined by several seals including a few large males who were very intrigued and happily swam close around us occasionally popping up to observe. Spider crabs and lots of different fish were also spotted and the water was crystal clear.
