We made it all the way down to Gorran Haven on Saturday and the sun stayed out for us for the whole trip (although still very icy offshore!). No fins sadly but a lovely diversity of bird life including lots of fulmars on the wing as well as a great northern diver in its stunning full summer plumage, kittiwakes and two large flocks of waders – likely sanderlings. Coming back along the coastline, 14 seals were recorded hauled out as well as several in the water. The auk colony was very active with guillemots and razorbills, including a bridled guillemot.
