Much better conditions these past couple of days and cetaceans recorded on both trips. Yesterday we had a few small groups of harbour porpoises and today we recorded two young minke whales, both around 12/14ft in length. The first minke we spotted disappeared quite quickly as it seemed to be traveling quite a distance underwater, but we had a fantastic interaction with the second minke whale which was feeding right close inshore and gave us some incredible views, including a bit of lunge feeding! High numbers of seals were recorded both days as well as good seabirds including a couple more storm petrels and puffins.
2 Minke Whales, both juveniles, 7 Harbour Porpoises, feeding in the Manacles, 62 Atlantic Grey Seals, lots hauled out on rocks, 2 Storm Petrels, 1 Sandwich Tern, 3 Fulmars, 8 Kittiwakes, 2 Puffins, flying through offshore, lots of Guillemots, including two bridled, Razorbills, +-250 Manx Shearwaters, lots of Gannets, 1 Peregrine Falcon, flying through up high offshore, 3 Ravens
