We had big, lumpy seas at the beginning of this week but still managed to head out far offshore to see what wildlife we could find. A basking shark was sighted briefly on Sunday which is our first one since 21st April so really lovely to see again and nice to know they still might be around! We also recorded a minke whale on Monday surfing in the waves, as well as a porpoise on both days hunting in the Manacles. A huge amount of of seabirds were recorded, including shearwaters and guillemots in their hundreds, as well as a Bonxie, kittiwakes and several sandwich terns.
